Swimming Lessons Registration  

Star Babies (Ages 6 months - 18 months)
The purpose of this class is to develop in very young children a high comfort level in the water while at the same time train parents about water safety. Comfort in the water comes from trust, experience, and loving encouragement. Children can begin to become comfortable in the water as early as 6 months. Songs and interactive activities are a big part of the FUN! Skills taught are Entries/Exits, Balance Holds, Floating on front/back, Jumping, Submersions, Rollovers, Kicking and Arm Movements. One parent or trusted caregiver must be in the water with each child. Swim Diapers are required.

Star Tots (Ages 18 months – 3 years)
The StarTots class is a continuation of skills taught in the StarBabies class. The StarTots will be introduced to a variety of new skills focusing on Drifting and Independent Movement to prepare them for a learn-to-swim program. If children are comfortable in the water, they will be more willing to learn and participate in swimming programs. Songs and interactive activities are a big part of the FUN! One parent or trusted caregiver must be in the water with each child. Swim Diapers are required.

Sea Sprites (Ages 3-5)
Designed to meet the needs of pre-schoolers, this class will develop a high comfort in the water, a readiness to swim, and for those children who are developmentally ready, teach beginning swim skills. Students work toward development of the five core swimming competencies and receive color level patches for each achievement. Approaches teaching skills through creative, fun activities. SeaStars (Ages 6-8) Students work toward development of the five core swimming competencies and receive color level patches for each achievement. The color levels are used to divide students into broad ability groups. Children progress at individual rates with the opportunity to learn the core swimming skills and progress to advanced strokes. Learning is self-paced but challenging.

Sea Stars (Ages 6 - 8)

Swim Stars (Ages 9 - 14)
Students are divided by age group (Ages 9 - 14) Classes are taught along the same philosophy as SeaStars.

Swim Stars (Adults) (15+)
Students are divided by age group (Adults) Classes are taught along the same philosophy as SeaStars.

Jr. Stroke Stars (Ages 7 & under)
Swimmers refine freestyle and learn stroke technique for backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and more!

Stroke Stars (Any age that meets skill prerequisite)
Swimmers refine freestyle and learn stroke technique for backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and more!

Angel Fish
The AngelFish program is designed to meet the needs of your special needs child. These classes are taught along the same philosophy as the Starfish Swim School. The classes will provide necessary teaching adaptations and or adaptive equipment that may be required to make your child as independent and successful in the water as possible. Private lessons are available for children and adults of all ages.
